Unsolicited Advice for the White House

I have just realized that I may never get my dream job of White House press secretary. So I'll have to content myself with offering the White House press office unsolicited advice: If I were the White House press secretary, I would talk about nothing but jobs for the next year. Jobs. Jobs. Jobs. How to get them. How to train for them. How to make sure the next generation of Americans has them. Of course, President Obama must work on other issues including Afghanistan and food safety and texting while driving, but he should focus the bulk of his media events on jobs. He needs to demonstrate to the American people that he knows that there is a problem.
I also think the White House needs some new spokespeople that evoke in-touch realism. More Michelle Obama. More Melody Barnes. Less David Axelrod and Robert Gibbs. I am not suggesting that the White House should discriminate against white guys, just that they do not need to be in front of the camera all the time. I am certainly not recommending a spray tan, although it does seem to be working for the Republican House leader to be. I just think a bit more thought needs to go in to who is speaking for the President. Who the messenger is matters.
My point is the President must demonstrate that he cares about American's getting jobs. He should visit some job training programs. Maybe bring Oprah with him.
White House, listen to me! See what you are missing?
